Rev. Dr. Harvey Cox, Jr
The Rev. Dr. Harvey Cox, Jr., has been on the Harvard faculty for over 35 years and is now the Hollis Professor of Divinity. He is especially interested in the relationships among religion, politics, and culture. Cox was a co-founder of the Boston chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and has served as a member of the Working Committee of the Department of Church and Society of the World Council of Churches. His book, "The Secular City," sold over 900,000 copies in 11 languages. An ordained Baptist minister, Rev. Cox has lectured extensively in such venues as the Gregorian University in Rome, Dashisha University in Kyoto, Dhararam University in Bangolore, India and the Pontifical Catholic University of Lima, Peru.
