Carolina Barco

A Colombian-American diplomat, Carolina Barco has served as Ambassador of Colombia to the United States from 2006 - 2010, and as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia from 2002 - 2007. Currently, Barco is coordinator of the Emerging and Sustainable Cities Platform at the Inter-American Development Bank, a role she has held since 2012.A member of the Board of Directors for the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, Barco holds a bachelor's degree in sociology and economics from Wellesley College, a masters in city planning from Harvard University Graduate School of Design, and an MBA from the IE Business School in Madrid, Spain.
