The Rev. Dr. Charles L. Rice is Professor Emeritus of Homiletics at Drew University. An Episcopal priest, Dr. Rice was born in Oklahoma and reared in California. He's a graduate of Baylor University, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Union Theological Seminary (New York), and Duke University. Before joining the faculty at Drew in 1970, he taught at Duke Divinity School, Salem College and The Federal Theological Seminary of Southern Africa. He is on the board of Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center, Bangor, PA, and the Commission on Ministry of the Diocese of Newark. He served most recently as interim rector of St. Dunstan's Church, Succasunna, NJ, and before that at St. Peter's Morristown, Christ Church in Short Hills, and St. Alban's in Oakland, all in New Jersey.
